BRIDGES: Council Members

Council Membership: BRIDGES is one of eight juvenile delinquency prevention councils formed as a result of legislation passed in 1998. This legislation mandates that the council include the following representation :

Law Enforcement
School Personnel
Community-Based Services
Juvenile Court Officials
Commonwealth's Attorney
County Attorney
County Corrections
Department for Public Advocacy

Other segments which may be represented include the following:

Juvenile Justice Agencies
Congregations
Youth
Local Government
Mental Health Providers
Business
Community
Parents
and OTHER Interested and Concerned Community Members, including YOU!!!

Council Members are appointed by the Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. They may be appointed for a term of two to four years, and are permitted to be reappointed at the end of a term. Any community member may apply for an at-large seat.
